Children with special educational needs in UK to benefit from Government £50m investment.

It was announced last week that the government would invest £50million into improving the facilities in schools for children with special educational needs, as well as creating 40,000 new good school places.

Children, regardless of their circumstances, ability, and background should have the opportunity to fulfil their potential, and this investment by the Government will go towards ensuring this happens. This latest announcement is part of the £23billion being spent by the Government between now and 2021on education.

Children and Families Minister Nadhim Zahawi said:

“All parents want to send their child to a good local school, one that meets their individual needs and supports them to achieve their full potential, regardless of the challenges they may face. This funding will help to create thousands more school places across the country, with a clear focus on transforming the experience of education for children with special educational needs or disabilities (SEND)”.
