Wall displays in classrooms

Did you know that 65% of the population are ‘visual learners’? Our brains absorb visual information much faster than written text. There is no doubt that bright and colourful wall displays have a very positive effect on the learning environment. When we are carrying out a school access audit, it is great to see so many of these learning aids on the classroom walls.

A good wall display in a classroom not only engages and informs the children, but also serves to brighten up the atmosphere of a classroom. A dull and plain classroom is uninviting and has been proven to have a negative impact on concentration.

Whether they are used to ‘set the scene’ for a new learning topic, or merely decorative, these teaching aids reinforce what is being taught, bringing the topic to life. They have a positive impact on all children, including those with special educational needs.
